Constanta ranks 17th, behind Brasov in 18th place.
Safety while walking alone during the day and night is also quite secure and safe in Bucharest. However, a high level of perceived corruption keeps the capital from ranking higher.

Some of the safest cities in Europe are the Hague in the Netherlands, Bern, the capital of Switzerland, and Munich in Germany. Numbering among the top 10 safest cities are also Ljubljana from Slovenia, Zagreb from Croatia, and Eindhoven, a city located in the Netherlands.
One of the key indicators of a city's safety is its crime rate. Road accidents are another critical element taken into account when assessing a city's safety level. Cities that invest in road infrastructure, enforce stringent traffic rules, and promote public transportation tend to be considered safer. Public safety in communal spaces also played a substantial role in determining this ranking.
The least secure city in Europe is Marseille, in southern France, followed by Coventry and Birmingham in the United Kingdom, according to the ranking.
