I've been to all states - these are my most otherworldly experiences

A well-traveled individual, who has extensively explored all 50 U.S. states, has identified the most impressive natural wonders to be seen across the country.

herself as someone with 'an incurable case of wanderlust'.

The New York-based freelance journalist recently highlighted her favorite destinations and discussed what made them stand out.

Here are her top eight recommendations of incredible marvels to visit:

The Great Basin Desert is a region of the North American deserts that encompasses parts of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.

The Great Basin Desert is one of the US's four deserts and the only cold desert in the country.

The area's name 'Great Basin' comes from its location south of Nevada.

The area is famously known to be covered in snow; Magyar described it as 'truly otherworldly'.

She said: "While there, I felt like I had landed on the moon in the best possible way."

The unforgettable memory for me was an autumn morning newspaper, while crossing over the desert, in the Great Reno Balloon Race, in the grandeur of the Sierra Nevada foothills painted in softer colours of the pastel hues.

Yes, comparability with Total coverage fails. No, book a flight to Anchorage.

The Northern Lights have been a source of great wonder and mystery for travelers around the globe for a very long time.

The majestic displays of dancing ribbons of light are formed when energized particles from the sun collide with the Earth's atmosphere and transform into a breathtaking cinematic spectacle of the atmosphere.

There is no original text provided to paraphrase. If you would like, I can provide information on the Teton Range in Wyoming in International English, or paraphrase a specific text you provide.

The Teton Range, a part of the Rocky Mountains, are one of the most magnificent mountain ranges, stretching approximately 40 miles in a north-south direction within Wyoming.

Grand Teton National Park covers the range and is well renowned for its diverse wildlife, crystal-clear lakes and breathtaking high-altitude views.

After the visit to the park, Magyar said: "I vividly recall the first time I saw the Tetons as a child during a cross-country road trip with my family. I was completely awestruck by the range's extraordinary beauty, which encapsulated the untamed essence of the American West."

I must say, out of all the mountain peaks and valleys to discover, kayaking on Jenny Lake stands out as my top favorite pastime, as this picturesque lake was carved by glaciers an impressive 12,000 years in the past.

4. Mount Desert Island is located in Maine.

.

The island has a local population of about 10,000 inhabitants, but it transforms into a bustling vacation hub during the summer season, and it is primarily frequented by affluent socialites and celebrities.

I have a lifelong connection to Maine, dating back to my teenage years when I participated in a sailing Outward Bound program, and I continue to visit the island every year, convinced that the way of life on Mount Desert Island is the ideal.

5. The Pu'u Pehe rock in Lāna'i, Hawaii

The Pu'upehe Platform, also known as Pu'u Pehe or Sweetheart Rock in tourist literature, is situated off the southern coastline between Mānele and Hulopo'e Bays.

This 24 meters long rock has long been a popular destination for watching stunning sunsets by travelers.

"I embarked on a pre-dawn hike up to the lookout from Four Seasons Lānaʻi, traversing the cliff's edge past Hulopoʻe Beach, and was rewarded with one of the most unforgettable views I'd ever seen in my life', wrote Magyar on Business Insider.

6. Redwood Forests in California

Renowned for the world's tallest trees, The Redwood National and State Park safeguards almost half of the world's ancient, untouched redwoods, boasting some that reach as high as 370 feet.

To view these trees, visitors can drive down the Avenue of the Giants - a well-maintained road with numerous designated parking areas. The road also provides access to brief hiking trails.

Magyar wrote in Business Insider: 'I first visited as a middle schooler, and when I returned in my twenties, I was shocked anew at their height - they can be about 300 feet tall. I'd grown taller, and yet they still appeared gigantic.

'Being in the presence of beings that have roamed the Earth for more than 1,000 years can be a humbling experience.'

The park is also a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site and a designated Biosphere Reserve.

7. Florida Keys islands

Off the southern tip of Florida, there is a chain of islands approximately 192 kilometers long, situated between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.

Tiny islands are a favorite among tourists for activities such as fishing, boat travel, snorkeling, and scuba diving, and are particularly famous for their vibrant turquoise waters and dreamy pink sunsets.

There is the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

One of America's most picturesque marvels and comprises 278 miles of the Colorado River and surrounding highlands.

This site is one of the most spectacular examples of erosion globally, as stated by the National Park Service.

"There's a reason the Grand Canyon is so famous as a US natural landmark: It's breathtaking in scale and the vivid colors of the rocks reflect the weathering of millions of years of erosion," Magyar wrote.
