The Michelin Guide has added Da Nang, a popular tourist destination in central Vietnam, to its list of the 10 most captivating food destinations to visit this year.
"The city's dining scene, highlighted by The Michelin Guide since last June, combines fresh seafood, regional specialties, and traditional Vietnamese flavors," the prestigious French guide observed.

In Vietnam's central region, a unique noodle dish called Quang-style noodles has gained popularity. This dish consists of a combination of flat rice noodles and yellow egg noodles served in a small amount of savory meat broth. It is typically accompanied by a variety of crunchy vegetables and fragrant herbs, including banana blossoms, lettuce, cilantro, scallions, and Vietnamese coriander.
This local dish, called fish cake noodle soup, consists of a broth made from tomatoes and pumpkins, combined with fresh fish cakes. Customers have the option to choose traditional fish cakes or add slices of mackerel or tuna for added variety.

The guide suggested visiting iconic dining spots in Da Nang, such as Nen Danang and Madame Lan. These establishments serve a variety of local cuisine in picturesque courtyards decorated with colorful lanterns suspended from trees.
Located on the Son Tra Peninsula, a luxury resort, has earned one Michelin star, increasing the total number of Michelin-starred restaurants in Vietnam to seven.
These restaurants were included in the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand list, which praises eateries that serve excellent food at affordable prices.
Other destinations on the list of top foodie cities included Austin (U.S.), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Bangkok (Thailand), Fujian (China), Osaka (Japan), and Vienna (Austria).
