The competition to incorporate the most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities into cell phones is intensifying, as technology leader Samsung unveiled its latest AI-equipped smartphones on Tuesday.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is being officially introduced at a Samsung Unpacked event held in San Jose, California.
With the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 models, Samsung aims to provide customers with a genuine "AI companion" through the introduction of its latest innovative features.

Intuitive AI agents
Continuing its partnership with Google and leveraging its Gemini generative AI technology, the three new devices now feature advanced AI assistants with enhanced multimodal capabilities, allowing for more seamless and natural interactions with users.
Google's Circle Search has received an update, now able to identify phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs on your screen to facilitate calls and other related actions more efficiently. When you circle an address, it will redirect you directly to Google Maps, for instance.
In addition to using text and images on your screen to search, the updated Circle Search feature now also lets you search with audio. For example, if you're watching a movie on your device and want to know the title of the soundtrack, you can use Circle Search to find the answer.
'Audio eraser'
One of Euronews Next's highlights is actually the "audio eraser".
You will now be able to selectively reduce unwanted background noise in your videos by allowing you to isolate and adjust different types of sounds, such as voices, crowd sounds, wind, and others, to a lower volume or even remove them altogether.
The next time you're at a concert, for example, and you pull out your phone to record your favorite song being performed, you no longer need to be concerned about your friend's off-key singing detracting from the atmosphere when you watch it back.
