Forecast expert John Searson stated that while the weather in the Channel Islands may not be significantly affected on land, disruptions are anticipated at sea.
He commented, "The island of Jersey is likely to experience extremely and terribly hazardous weather conditions."
The forecaster said the strongest wind occurrences were anticipated at the beginning of the Friday.
The weekend is forecast to have "quieter weather" with lighter winds and "one or two showers", he mentioned.
