Nairobi - Kenya Airways staged a flypast of its new Boeing 737-800 aircraft over Muthaiga Golf Club to mark its partnership with the Magical Kenya Open.

Kenya Airways has extended its partnership with the Magical Kenya Open, becoming the official airline partner to provide hassle-free travel for participants, officials, tourists, and spectators.

The Magical Kenya Open, established in 1967 as part of the Safari Circuit, is a highly respected men's golf tournament now featured on the DP World Tour.

This event enhances Kenya's international standing while generating economic advantages for local companies. It also aligns with Kenya Airways' goal of promoting African development by connecting its people, cultures, and markets.

Kenya Airways' new Boeing 787-800

The Group Managing Director & CEO, Allan Kilavuka, highlighted that the new addition aligns with the airline's long-term growth goals and turnaround strategy, known as Project Kifaru 2.

"The introduction of this B737-800 represents a key milestone in our fleet expansion strategy. It will enhance our capacity for seating and showcases our ability to evolve and grow, even in a difficult operating environment where the global aviation industry is facing challenges in accessing aircraft. This move is part of Kenya Airways' overall plan to expand its network, boost connectivity, and provide outstanding service to its passengers," Kilavuka said.

Kilavuka emphasized that despite global aviation challenges, Kenya Airways remains committed to expanding its network, enhancing connectivity, and delivering outstanding service.

The airline is also in advanced talks to purchase additional aircraft, encompassing both narrow-body and wide-body models, with the aim of further expanding its operations.
