Oscar Sudi answers Edwin Sifuna after calling him class 2 dropout: "My IQ is bigger than yours"

  • Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna upset Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi when he implied that Sudi did not receive proper education.
  • Sifuna claimed that President William Ruto's administration is faltering because it has "Class Two" dropouts, such as Sudi, in its inner circle.
  • In his response, Sudi stated that his cognitive abilities cannot be measured by academic achievements, claiming his intelligence greatly exceeds that of Sifuna.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has taken on Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna who took a jab at him during a Thursday morning, February 20th interview on Citizen TV.

In his typical manner, Sifuna was evaluating President William Ruto's shortcomings and the improbability of him transforming Kenya, when he brought Sudi into the conversation.

The senator mentioned the president's recent statement that as a PhD holder, he believes no one without a PhD should lecture him on how to govern the country.

Sifuna, while seemingly questioning the president's credentials as a "Doctor", argued that not much could be expected of him if his associates were mostly individuals who had failed in Class Two, like Sudi.

"I firmly believe Ruto is not suitable for the country's leadership. The time for him to turn things around is running out, and he's aware of it. That's why he and his supporters are reacting in a certain way. He frequently insults the public and responds negatively to their concerns. He claims to hold a PhD and suggests that no one should question his opinions. I've never seen a PhD holder associate with individuals who have only completed primary school, as it would lower the average intelligence to that of a high school graduate. People of similar backgrounds often gather together. How can someone with a PhD associate with individuals like Sudi? Although we may not have PhDs, we're aware of our feelings about our country," Sifuna said.

Sudi immediately countered, rejecting the parameters Sifuna was using to evaluate his cognitive abilities.

The MP stated that his overall personality and success in politics cannot be linked to academic achievements, suggesting that academic qualifications are not the sole indicator of intelligence.

He said his leadership style makes up for the fact that he is not highly educated, pointing out that in today's world, what matters most is having the right skills, being able to communicate effectively and being aware of one's surroundings.

"I'd like to ask a question, are our voters university graduates? Can he compare himself to me? My IQ is significantly higher than his. His is only a quarter of mine. He should look for someone else to compare himself to. I am in a different class, and I'm not boasting. You can ask about my background," Sudi said.
