SpaSeekers.com, an online booking site, has identified the most sought-after spa destinations globally based on Google search data. According to the data, Albania and Romania share the third spot, with a notable 83% surge in searches, following Vietnam and Morocco.
Vietnam has emerged as the leading spa destination for 2025, boasting stunning beaches and lush tropical jungles, according to SpaSeekers.com, which reported a substantial 175% surge in global searches for spa trips.
Morocco, a country with a rich history of spas, experiences a notable surge in searches, with an 84% increase.
Following closely behind are Albania and Romania, both of which have seen an 83% rise in searches.
“Romania, famous for its mountains covered in snow, rolling hills, forests, vineyards, and picturesque beaches on the Black Sea coast, also possesses over a third of Europe's mineral and thermal springs, making it an attractive destination for those who enjoy thermal spas. Romania is also home to the popular Therme spa, situated in Bucharest, which has gained a significant following on TikTok,” the study states.
Gambia and Zimbabwe are tied in fifth place, each showing a 56% rise in searches, while South Africa comes in seventh with a 52% increase. Barbados, Cambodia, Panama, Qatar, South Korea, Seychelles, and Tunisia are all equal in eighth position, each experiencing a 50% surge in searches.
Singapore and China both experience a 49% rise in search inquiries, offering contemporary spas that combine traditional practices with luxurious amenities. Greece and Spain share the seventeenth spot, each boasting a 46% increase in search interest.
