At the Munich Security Conference, J.D. Vance offered Europeans a primer on democracy. In the American vice-president's view, it is now time for Europe to transition to a new system of governance.
The US Vice-President stunned everyone with his speech:
While the Trump administration is deeply concerned about European security and believes we can achieve a reasonable agreement between Russia and Ukraine - with the understanding that Europe will assume greater responsibility for its own defense in the years to come - the threat that concerns me most in Europe is not Russia, China, or any other external actor. What concerns me is the threat from within. It's Europe's retreat from some of its fundamental values, the values it shares with the United States.
