In the end, a DT250 and an MX250, both with a rich history, were taken home by Craig and his friend, with plans to restore them to their former glory and get them back in action. The good news is that, despite being unused for nearly two decades, it appears they were stored indoors in a shed, which is a more favorable condition than being left outdoors to deteriorate, especially in the harsh Midwestern winters that are typical of the region.
Now, while it's undoubtedly true that nostalgia can give you a more rosy perspective than the facts might justify, Craig has accomplished a great deal with bikes in far worse shape over the years.
