World's second most beautiful island named among top 25 must-visit destinations for Singapore tourists

1 min read

The Singaporean news agency CNA has recently included Phu Quoc in its top 25 must-visit destinations for 2025, with the island ranking as the world's second most beautiful island.

Phu Quoc ranked seventh, making it the only Vietnamese destination on the list and one of the few Asian locations, alongside Koh Samui in Thailand, Manila in the Philippines, and Singapore.

The agency highlighted 2025 as the ideal year to adopt slow travel and give precedence to eco-friendly tourism.

The list showcases a diverse selection of destinations, both established and up-and-coming, that offer unique experiences, such as Osaka in Japan, Cairo in Egypt, Greenland, and Casablanca in Morocco.

To create the rankings, CNA consulted with specialists and examined cultural and lifestyle trends, as well as updates on flights, hotels, trains, and cruises.

Phu Quoc is a tropical gem, characterized by its numerous small islands, a 150-kilometer-long coastline, and an expansive national park, as CNA described it.

Singaporean travelers now have even more incentive to visit, as Scoot Airlines is introducing direct two-hour flights to Phu Quoc starting in December 2024.
