Phu Quoc Island, which was ranked as the world's second most beautiful island last year, has been included in the list of the five fastest-growing destinations in Southeast Asia, as reported by the world-renowned travel news source Travel Off Path.

The island, with its dense jungle interior crisscrossed by nature trails, offers a lively town, Duong Dong, where a bustling night market takes place, as well as an amusement park featuring fairy-tale castles and adrenaline-pumping theme rides, promising an entertaining experience for all visitors, as stated on the website.

In January 2025, Phu Quoc Airport recorded a 185.2% growth rate, resulting in more than 108,000 additional seats, largely due to the airport's increased appeal stemming from the local visa-friendly regulations.

The four other destinations mentioned in Travel Off Path's list are Phuket and Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Singapore.

From 2011 to 2023, Phu Quoc's tourism sector saw a remarkable expansion, with an annual growth rate surpassing 38%, a figure more than six times the national average.

In 2024, Phu Quoc island drew almost a million foreign visitors, representing a substantial growth in the island's tourism industry.

At present, over 20 airlines operate flights to Phu Quoc, including regular and charter flights, with more than 150 flights available weekly from various countries and territories.

In January 2025, Phu Quoc airport experienced a remarkable increase, with more than 108,000 additional seats, representing a growth of 185.2%, as reported by Aviation A2Z.
