Kia PV5 Electric Vans Keep The Concept's Futuristic Design

3 min read

The PV5 van will be offered in various passenger and cargo versions, and it is expected to be launched later this year.

  • Kia has unveiled the production design of its PV5 line of vans.
  • The PV5 will be offered in various passenger and cargo configurations.
  • It will make its official debut in Spain next week, and then we will be able to see its interior and its technical specifications.

The production design of a car model has been unveiled. It retains its design concept from the PV5, which was showcased at CES last year. It keeps the distinctive face with its high LED daytime running light strips and lower, more recessed headlights.

Kia has not yet released the full specifications for the two versions of the PV5, but they are expected to be disclosed at the model's world premiere next week. The production PV5 will make its public debut at Kia's second EV Day event in Tarragona, Spain next Thursday.

There are also no images available of the interior of the production PV5, which is expected to deviate more from the concept design than the exterior does.

Kia Global Design's Head, Karim Habib, states, "The PV5 is available in three body styles, offering inventive solutions for a diverse clientele. Nonetheless, each model showcases a unified design philosophy, featuring a strong, bold, and forward-thinking personality, as well as a confident and capable demeanor."

The package could also include other body styles, but the manufacturer has not confirmed this yet. Furthermore, additional body styles with possibly more than one wheelbase length are reportedly planned. There is no reason why a pickup variant of the PV5 couldn't be made in the future.

.

The company describes it as a "total mobility solution that combines fit-for-purpose EVs with advanced software solutions."

The manufacturer has not officially stated its intentions to release the PV5 in the United States, but a prototype was seen in the country, suggesting it may be preparing to enter the market. Even if a US launch does occur, it is likely to happen after the product is released in South Korea and Europe.
