
The duo added two more Grammy Awards to their collection on Sunday night after winning the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award for their hit song "Die With a Smile," according to Billboard.
The duo celebrated their victory over tough competitors, including a combined effort by Beyoncé and Post Malone, Gracie Abrams and Taylor Swift, an alliance between Ariana Grande and Brandy and Monica, and a team-up between Billie Eilish and Charli XCX.
Mars expressed his joy in his winning speech, saying, "Gaga, I'm so honored to have been a part of this song with you. I'm deeply humbled to have played a small role in your incredible musical legacy, and I genuinely believe that fate brought us together to sing this song, so thank you very much."
Calling Mars "a brilliant and talented individual for the ages," Gaga also shared an uplifting message for the LGBTQ+ community.
"It is a privilege to be a songwriter, a producer, and a musician. It's such an honor to sing for all of you. And I just want to express my gratitude tonight by stating that transgender individuals are not invisible. They deserve to be loved and respected. The LGBTQ+ community has the right to be lifted up and celebrated. Music is a universal language of love and compassion. Thank you," Gaga said.
Earlier in the evening, the two artists performed the classic "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas and the Papas to pay tribute to the victims of the catastrophic Los Angeles wildfires. Gaga also premiered her new song and video "Abracadabra" from her upcoming album "Mayhem" during a commercial break.
Shakira received the award for Best Latin Pop Album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran from Jennifer Lopez from The singer dedicated the honor to the immigrant community in the United States. The up-and-coming hip-hop star Doechii she received her first-ever Grammy Award, taking home the Best Rap Album award for her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal. Earlier, Sabrina Carpenter won her first-ever Grammy for record of the year Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n' Sweet on Sunday (Monday in India). Chappell Roan, on the other hand, took home the Best New Artist award.
Beyonce made history by becoming the first Black woman to clinch a Grammy in the country music category in over five decades.
