The player won the massive prize after matching all seven winning numbers in draw #1619, which were 2, 8, 11, 30, 17, 46 and 18.
These additional numbers were 24, 37 and 42.
The good fortune persisted for six additional players who each won $47,444.90, while 65 other Australians took home more than $5,100 each.

The lucky ticket holder won one of the three national division one prizes in the Saturday Lotto, taking home a total of $3,333,333.34.
The ticket was bought at Lismore Square News, and the store's owner, David Forsyth, was eager to inform the winner.
'We're thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to the lucky winner,' stated Mr. Forsyth. 'We're beyond delighted for you and eagerly look forward to the moment when you'll discover the details of your substantial multi-million-dollar award.'
If the winner had registered their ticket, they would have been informed by now.
The Lott is awaiting the ticketholder to verify their ticket and come forward.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell stated.

The winning numbers in the Saturday Lotto draw #4549 were 5, 39, 26, 2, 28, and 31, along with the supplementary numbers 7 and 8.
