Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has finally spoken out after being removed from his position as the chairman of the National Assembly's Budget and Appropriations Committee.

Speaking to the audience at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Tuesday, March 18, Nyoro looked back on his term, recognizing the difficulties associated with the position, notably the task of touring every constituency to initiate CDF-supported initiatives.

"It has been intense and hectic, but I'm thankful for the chance," Nyoro stated.

When queried about his replacement, Nyoro stated that no reasons were provided to him.

"I am equally unaware," he said, stating that nobody from his alliance had contacted him about the role, improvements required, changes necessary, or alternative approaches to take. He added that he would rather avoid political discussions altogether.

Concerning his connection with President William Ruto, Nyoro admitted harboring doubts about some of the choices made but continued to show respect for the president.

"I might disagree with the choices made, but I don't believe it falls within my capabilities to discuss these matters, particularly in a public setting," he stated.

He offered his warmest congratulations to his successor, Sam Atandi, acknowledging that the committee requires complete dedication, frequently prioritizing this over responsibilities towards their constituents.

He similarly showed appreciation to the people of Kiharu for choosing him, thus enabling his position within the budget committee as a leader.

Nyoro attributed his successes to divine intervention and the backing of Kenyans, asserting that he merely fulfilled his potential as God had endowed him with the necessary strength.

He likewise showed contentment regarding the approval of teachers for permanent and pensionable positions, a matter he advocated for with assistance from fellow committee members.

"You can't keep getting provoked and end up following along with whatever agenda is set. It’s crucial to establish boundaries in politics and understand the type of political game you want to be part of," he noted.

The departure of Nyoro signals a major change in parliamentary leadership, as political analysts closely monitor his subsequent actions.
