In his letter, PM Modi stated that all 1.4 billion Indians have consistently taken pride in her achievements and expressed anticipation for her safe return home.
"In my message to you, I bring warm regards from the citizens of India. Today at an event, I had the pleasure of meeting the distinguished astronaut Mr. Mike Massimino. Our discussion included mention of you, during which we expressed great pride in both you and your accomplishments. After speaking with him, I felt compelled to write this letter to you," as penned by Prime Minister Modi in his correspondence to Sunita.
He added that he asked about her health condition when he went to the United States for visits.
"During my trips to the U.S., when I had the opportunity to meet with President Trump or President Biden, I asked after your health. The accomplishments of the 1.4 billion Indians here never fail to inspire us all. These recent events once more highlight your remarkable resilience and determination," he said additionally.
Prime Minister Modi added, "Despite being thousands of miles apart, you stay close to our hearts. The people of India are praying for your well-being and success in your endeavors."
