The mass market demands a more affordable motorcycle, featuring an option for a daily range of up to 200 kilometers, without the need for charging or battery replacement. This is intended to be achieved while maintaining the same level of high torque and build quality.
Over the past two years of development, we have worked closely with leading OE suppliers to secure the highest-quality components at a more affordable price point. We are pleased to note that we have achieved 100% localization of our bike. This achievement has enabled us to offer a warranty of up to four years and 60,000 kilometers.
The market has now acknowledged and accepted the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) over internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, and data indicates that the EV scooter segment has reached nearly 20% of the total scooter market. However, the same cannot be said for the EV motorcycle segment, which has only around 1% market penetration, as there are no products that cater to the specific needs of this segment. We see this gap as a significant opportunity for our bike and, having considered all the requirements of this market, have designed the KRIDN X accordingly. KRIDN X boasts high torque, sufficient for heavy load operations of up to 225 kilograms, effortlessly navigating the steep inclines common in urban areas. Although KRIDN X provides ample range for all in-city operations, the company has provisions in place to swap batteries for users with specific requirements.
One Electric plans to introduce their electric motorcycle, The KRIDN X, in Delhi NCR and Pune in the first phase in April this year. Following this, they will expand their network across the country in a series of phases.
