"My father has always taught me that education is never an easy journey, but it's definitely the quickest way to achieve success," Van said.
Inspired by her older sister, a former BUV scholarship winner and first-class master's graduate from the University of Sydney, Van has remained committed to her goal of making a positive impact in Vietnam's education system.
She developed a strong enthusiasm for education at an early age. As a high school volunteer, she travelled to rural areas, witnessing the difficulties faced by children in getting access to primary education. These experiences strengthened her determination to make a positive impact.
"During the COVID-19 pandemic, I volunteered to teach English online to kids at SOS Children's Village in Vietnam. Despite the difficulties of online learning, their eagerness inspired me to keep going on this path," Van said.
For her, success in education goes beyond individual accomplishment—it's about creating a lasting impact on the community. She firmly believes that education is a long-term and sustainable means of promoting social development.
Van believes that to promote education, she must first set a good example. This conviction has driven her enthusiasm for academic achievement and her commitment to making a positive impact.
